State and territory border opening & closures due to COVID-19
Each state or territory has their own entry requirements, and the conditions may change at short notice. The most up-to-date information about entry conditions, forms and requirements is on the government website of the state and territory you are travelling to.

Such factors include adverse currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges, taxes and airfare increase. Please contact your consultant for up-to-date prices.
Supplier Change and Cancellation Fees:
Supplier fees will apply where a booking is changed and when tickets or documents are re-issued. Where we incur any liability for a supplier cancellation fee for any booking which you change or cancel, you agree to indemnify us for the amount of that fee. Where you seek a refund for a cancelled booking for which payment has been made to the supplier, we will not provide a refund to you until we receive the funds from that supplier.
- We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations in booking the Travel Product that is due to events beyond our control.
- If a force majeure event occurs that affects your booking, your entitlement to a refund, a credit or re scheduled travel booking will depend on the Provider’s terms and conditions.
- If your booking is impacted by a force majeure event and you are entitled to a refund or credit from the Provider, we will facilitate this refund or credit.
- The Booking & Service Advisory fee, credit card fees or any commissions received are non-refundable in the circumstance that a force majeure event occurs.
Please check the name on your Confirmation/Itinerary is the same as it appears on your passport or driver’s licence.
Names changes after the ticket has been issued will incur a change fee.
It is essential that you provide your consultant the names of each traveller correctly and according to passport identification or drivers licence for Australian domestic travel. Some airlines will deny carriage if the traveller’s name varies from your booking/E-ticket and may cancel automatically if the traveller’s name is amended. DESTINATION HQ takes no responsibility for any loss or damage arising from incorrect information you provide about traveller’s name causing any inability to travel as a result of carrier’s policies.
Your holiday safety and enjoyment is important to us and we support the Australian Government’s recommendation that all people travelling take out Travel Insurance. We strongly recommend that you take out appropriate travel insurance to cover your travel arrangements.
Please note that in providing you with a quote for Travel Insurance, we have not considered your personal objectives, financial situation or needs. Before purchasing travel insurance you should read the Financial Services Guide and Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and policy wording.
If you have any pre-existing medical conditions, then cover for this may need to be approved by the insurer. If you need cover for a pre-existing medical condition, that requires approval by the Insurer, we are able to provide you with the Medical Assessment Form for completion and it will be assessed by the Insurance provider.
If you purchase travel and decline travel insurance, you may be required to sign a disclaimer.
Credit Card Travel Insurance:
Many credit cards provide different levels of complimentary travel insurance. It is important to look at the terms and conditions of the card to ensure you know what you are covered for and how much coverage applies and any excess applicable, to decide if it’s suitable for your trip. Make sure you read the PDS to understand the requirements to activate the insurance.
We recommend that you consult with your local doctor, travel medical service or specialist vaccination clinic before commencing your travel. You must ensure that you are aware of any health requirements and recommended precautions relevant to your travel.
General health and vaccination information is available to all travellers at www.traveldoctor.com.au
Please liaise with your consultant regarding any special requirements you may have for your travel arrangements such as a special meal and seating requests, room types or disabled access.
- References to “us”, “we” and/or “our” in these Booking & Advisory Services Terms and Conditions means Beaumaris Travel Pty Ltd trading as Destination HQ.
- We are a travel agent. We arrange travel services and sell a Travel Product on behalf of Third Party Travel Providers (Providers) including airlines, tour and cruise operators, car hirers and accommodation providers. We may charge a service fee for providing this service.
- Once we have booked a Travel Product on your behalf, your contract is then with the Provider of those services.
- Your rights to amend or cancel your Travel Booking and the cost of doing so will be governed by the Provider’s terms and conditions. The Provider’s terms and conditions may be non-refundable or may have amendment and cancellation fees. It is important that you understand this when entering into a contract with us. These fees are in addition to amendment and cancellation fees charged by us, outlined in the Schedule of Professional Service Fees.
We act as an agent for and sell various travel related products as agent on behalf of, numerous transport, accommodation and other service providers, such as airlines, coach, rail and cruise line operators, as well as all of our wholesalers. Any services we provide to you are collateral to that agency relationship. Our obligation to you is to (and you expressly authorise us to) make travel bookings on your behalf and to arrange relevant contracts between you and travel service providers. We exercise care in the selection of reputable service providers, but we are not ourselves a provider of travel services and have no control over, or liability for, the services provided by third parties. All bookings are made on your behalf subject to the terms and conditions, including conditions of carriage and limitations of liability, imposed by these service providers. We can provide you with copies of the relevant service provider terms and conditions on request. Your legal rights in connection with the provision of travel services are against the specific provider and, except to the extent a problem is caused by fault on our part, are not against us. Specifically, if for any reason (excluding fault on our part) any travel service provider is unable to provide the services for which you have contracted, your rights are against that provider and not against us.
To the extent permitted by law, neither Destination HQ nor any of its related bodies corporate, directors, employees or agents accept any liability in contract, tort or otherwise for any injury, damage, loss (including consequential loss), delay, additional expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by the acts, omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise, of third party providers over whom we have no direct control, force majeure or any other event which is beyond our control or which is not preventable by reasonable diligence on our part. Our liability will also be limited to the extent that any relevant international conventions, for example the Montreal Convention in respect of travel by air, the Athens Convention in respect of travel by sea, the Berne Convention in respect of travel by rail and the Paris Convention in respect of the provision of accommodation, limit the amount of compensation which can be claimed for death, injury, or delay to passengers and loss, damage, and delay to luggage. Under circumstances where our liability cannot be excluded and where liability may be lawfully limited, such liability is limited to the remedies required of us under applicable law (including the Australian Consumer Law). This liability clause is subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any rights you may have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
